1. Who we are
Michael Young is the pen name used by author Michal Tříska. The seller and operator of this website is Michal Tříska, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic.

2. Merchant of record
Purchases on this website are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. Lemon Squeezy takes the payment, adds and remits any applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, GST), issues the receipt and delivers the files. Lemon Squeezy’s terms and privacy policy apply to the purchase alongside these terms.
3. The product
You are buying digital content without a physical medium: Beyond the Looking Glass (PDF + EPUB) and the companion publication Your Own Looking Glass (PDF + EPUB). It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and no physical product is shipped.
The files contain no technical protection measures (DRM). Reading them requires a device and software able to open PDF and EPUB files. You are responsible for the compatibility of your own device and for your internet access.
4. Order and contract
The contract is concluded when you complete the order at checkout and the payment is confirmed. Before completing the order you can review and correct the details you have entered and read these terms. The contract is concluded in English and is archived by the seller; you do not have direct access to the archived contract.
5. Price and payment
The price is shown at checkout, with any local tax added there. It is payable immediately. A receipt is issued electronically by Lemon Squeezy. In the event of an obvious technical error in the price, the seller reserves the right to withdraw from the contract.
6. Delivery
The download links are sent to the e-mail address entered at checkout immediately after a successful payment, and at the latest within 24 hours. The digital content is considered delivered at the moment the download link is made available. There are no delivery costs.
7. Licence and copyright
The books are protected by copyright. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, unlimited in time, to use the files for your personal needs. You may not redistribute them, copy them for distribution, make them available to third parties or use them for commercial purposes. All rights remain with the author.
The books are based on the author’s own experience and are intended for reflection and personal development. They are not therapy, a diagnosis or professional advice, and the seller is not responsible for the results any particular reader may achieve.
8. Withdrawal and the money-back guarantee
For digital content delivered without a physical medium, where delivery begins with your express consent and with your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, the statutory right to withdraw from the contract does not apply (Section 1837 of Czech Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code). You give this consent at checkout.

9. Defective content
If a file is corrupted, does not open or is otherwise defective, write to hello@emotionalcomingout.com. You are entitled to a replacement file or to a refund of the purchase price. Complaints are settled without undue delay and at the latest within 30 days.
10. Governing law and consumer rights
The contract is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
11. Out-of-court dispute resolution
Consumers have the right to out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute. The competent body in the Czech Republic is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz). Consumers in the European Union may also use the online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Final provisions
The seller may amend these terms. The version in force at the time your order is placed applies to that order.
